What changed
OpenAI had told eligible Pro 200 subscribers they would keep an earlier, higher allowance through 2026-10-29 and then move to the lower allowance that newer Pro 200 subscriptions already had. This site recorded that, from the help page, on 2026-10-28: an active Pro 200 subscription at any point from 2026-09-22 through 10 a.m. PT on 2026-09-29 qualified, the price stayed $200/mo, and OpenAI had not published the new allowance size.
The same help page, read 2026-10-29, says that reduction is canceled.
- If you already had the higher Work and Codex allowance, you keep it.
- If you had the lower allowance, it has doubled to match the higher one.
- All Pro 200 subscriptions now include the same Work and Codex allowance.
- The monthly price stays $200. Existing subscribers get the updated allowance without waiting for renewal.
- Canceling and subscribing again is not required. A later new subscription gets the same allowance as other Pro 200 subscribers.
- Ultrafast is not included. Ultrafast stays on Pro 500 only.

What OpenAI does not publish
- The size of the Pro 200 Work and Codex allowance, in tokens, messages, or as a multiple of Plus.
- The weekly GPT-6 Pro message counts. The help page says Pro 100 and Pro 500 keep their current weekly limits in Chat, and that on Pro 200 the lower weekly limit now matches the higher one. Those limits are separate from the Work and Codex allowance.
- A time of day for the old 2026-10-29 end date. The earlier page said the previous allowance lasted through that date.
This site's 2026-10-27 Codex check says Pro plans have no 5-hour limit currently. The 2026-10-29 help page does not publish a new 5-hour cap.
